Various programs that provide access to support, planning, implementation, design, and arrangement of technology solutions. These programs are intended to improve members' internal productivity and to reduce cost. Programs are funded through grants, fee-for- service, and as a benefit of membership. The following IT programs are included: WAN - Links NRHP members and provides high speed connectivity that enables communication and shared information technology. The WAN is monitored for security, utilization, and traffic analyses, to assist members in controlling Internet usage within their facilities. All members of NRHP participate in this program as a benefit of membership. Centralized Applications - Email management, email anti-virus coverage, data network server, and limited Web site support. Currently available to regular NRHP members as a benefit of membership; capacity for additional shared applications is being developed. Data Disaster Recovery - A requirement of HIPAA regulations that mandate off-site backup of records and a plan for restoration. Currently under development. Will first be available to regular NRHP members and Associate NRHPF members. Availability of this program to non-members is being evaluated. Data Security - Development of model policies, management of firewalls, and monitoring of traffic into and out of members' information systems. Available to regular members as a benefit of membership. Training - Assistance to IT personnel in member facilities as a benefit of membership.  Digital Records - Assistance in developing digital medical records, provided through a grant-funded pilot project completed in 2003. IT Return on Investment Analysis and Recommendations - concerning equipment, policies and procedures, cost, orientation and staff training. This program is available to regular NRHP members
